Choices – “an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities.” Life has been defined as the sum total of all a person’s choices. From the cradle to the grave, we are faced with many important decisions; the choice of friends, the choice of a career, the choice of further education, and a thousand other things. Without question, one of the greatest abilities that separates us from all the rest of God’s creatures is our ability to weigh factors, to recognize different alternatives, and then to make a decision toward the accomplishment of that decision. Everyone of us has to make choices everyday and every choice we make has a consequence. You can choose your choice, but you cannot choose your consequences, but you can learn to make right choices that will result in good consequences. The way to make good choices is to choose to make right the choice of following God’s Biblical principles. Always choose the spiritual over the carnal, the eternal over the temporal, God’s will over your own, and commitment over convenience. It has well been said, “You are what you are today because of the choices you made yesterday, and the choices you make today will make you what you are tomorrow. Take control of your life. Choose wisely.” (Galatians 6:7-8), “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
