Resiliency – “the ability to recover from failures, problems, and setbacks, and move forward.” Resiliency is a quality that enables a Christian to finish what they start even through tough times because a Christian who has the character of resiliency focus their faith in the unshakeable promises of God while allowing the Holy Spirit to utilize their skills and strengths to cope and recover from problems and challenges. For Christians with resiliency in their lives, quitting is just not an option because they know they are surrounded by the power of God, through the Holy Spirit, which give daily strength to keep on living their lives the way God called them to. Therefore, when obstacles to come into their lives, they see them as opportunities for growth and for God’s power to be manifested in their lives. (Proverbs 3:13-14), “ Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
